What your bathroom costs in Dublin
Two taps: the kind of job, and whether anything moves. The answer is the range Dublin firms publish for it.
Published Dublin range for this job
€5,500 to €8,000+
Published Dublin prices for this job, read 3 November 2026. Kev Decor: €6,000 to €8,000 (en-suite or small shower room (2 to 4 m²)); Dublin Plumber 24hrs: from €5,500 (straightforward en-suite renovation).
- Tiling labour runs €45 to €80 a m² in Dublin, on top of the tiles (LN Bathroom Renovations).
- A skip is €350 to €550, plus €150 to €250 for a parking permit in the city centre (Tile Merchant).
- Electrics by a Registered Electrical Contractor, who gives you a completion certificate (CRU).
How this is worked out
The range runs from the lowest to the highest figure that Dublin bathroom firms and a price guide publish for that kind of job (LN Bathroom Renovations, Kev Decor, Dublin Plumber 24hrs, Tile Merchant's Dublin column). "+" means one of them gives no top figure. Moving things adds Kev Decor's €1,500 to €3,000 for layout changes. The sum is ours. Prices read on 3 November 2026. Kev Decor adds no VAT; the others mostly don't say. It's an estimate, never a quote.
Redo or add
Redoing one or adding one
- Redoing: the drains, the water and the fan are already there. It's a smaller version of a full renovation.
- Adding: a new soil pipe to the toilet, a waste to the shower and basin, hot and cold feeds, an extractor fan vented outside, and a partition wall. The drain run decides a lot.
The Clonsilla job: a partition wall, new water supply and drainage, tiling, toilet, basin, radiator and ventilation, 10 days (Kev Decor).

Dublin's bigger homes
Where en-suites are common
Census 2022, our sums. 44% of homes in Fingal were built in 2001 or later, so many en-suites there are now 20 years old or more.
Space
How small an en-suite can be
A toilet, a small basin and a corner or quadrant shower fit in a little over 2 m² if the door opens out or slides. A walk-in shower wants more length. In a tight room a wall-hung basin and a concealed cistern free up floor.

Before anyone comes to price it
- Measure the room, wall to wall, and the window and door.
- Decide if the toilet and shower stay where they are. Moving them adds pipework.
- Check where the hot water comes from: a cylinder, a combi boiler or an electric shower.
- In an apartment, ask the management company about access, lifts, working hours and parking for the skip.
- Ask for a written price that lists the strip-out, tanking, tiling, fittings, electrics and VAT.
